Thank you for using QuickClean (the “App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information. QuickClean is a mobile storage cleaning tool that helps you scan and manage large files, duplicate files, cache files, similar images, and other content to free up device space. We do not collect any personally identifiable information, and we do not upload your files to a server.

1. Information We Collect

We only collect information that is necessary to provide the core cleaning features, and all processing is performed locally on your device:

  • Storage information: To scan large files, duplicate files, cache files, and similar images, the App needs access to the file system on your device, including internal storage and external storage. We only read file metadata such as path, size, modification time, and MD5 hash values. We do not read file contents, except for image thumbnails, which are used only for in-app previews. All scan results are kept in your device memory and are not uploaded.
  • Device identifiers: To understand anonymous usage statistics, such as crash reports, we may collect anonymous device model, Android version, and screen resolution information. This information cannot be linked to a specific individual.
  • Installed apps list: When you use the app management feature, we read the list of installed apps, including app name, icon, package name, and size, to help you identify apps that take up significant storage. This information is used locally only.

2. Permission Usage

  • READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Used to scan files on device storage.
  • WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Used to delete files you choose, and only after you confirm.
  • QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES (optional, future version): Used to retrieve the list of installed apps and help you manage apps.

You can revoke these permissions in system settings at any time, but some features may stop working properly.

3. Data Storage and Sharing

  • Local processing principle: All scanning, analysis, and deletion operations are completed locally on your device. We never upload your files, file paths, or file names to any server.
  • No third-party sharing: We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party.
  • Advertising service (future version): In a future version, we may integrate Google AdMob ads. AdMob may collect advertising ID, device information, and approximate location for personalized or non-personalized ads. Please see the Google Privacy Policy for more details. You can reset the advertising ID or enable “Limit Ad Tracking.”

4. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including code obfuscation and HTTPS transmission where necessary. Because all data processing is performed locally, your privacy risk is extremely low.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent and believe your child has provided information to us, please contact us.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If there are material changes, we will notify you through an in-app notice or a popup.
