This Privacy Policy explains how Mango PDF handles information when you use PDF reading, OCR, translation, editing, compression, encryption, decryption, and conversion features.
2. Information We Access With Your Permission
Depending on the feature you use and the permissions you grant, the app may access selected PDF files, images, Word documents, PPT documents, Excel documents, file names, file metadata, storage locations, camera photos for OCR, generated preview images, temporary cache files, and exported documents. This access is used only to provide the document operation you request.
3. Local Processing and Storage
Mango PDF is designed to process most document operations on your device. The app may create temporary files for PDF preview, page thumbnails, OCR images, translation output, unlocked PDF previews, compression, and conversion. Temporary files are stored in app-controlled cache where possible and may be removed by the app, Android, or when app data is cleared.
4. Data We Do Not Sell
We do not sell your documents, images, OCR text, translated text, extracted text, file names, passwords, or conversion results.
5. Sharing and External Services
The app may open Android system file pickers, camera, share sheets, document viewers, file location screens, rating pages, or permission screens when you choose related actions. OCR and translation features may use Google ML Kit or platform services and may require downloading language models. If a feature uses external network services, only the content needed for that feature should be used after you intentionally start the action.
6. Permissions
File and media permissions are used to select, read, preview, edit, convert, and export documents or images. Camera permission is used only when you start photo OCR. You can revoke permissions in Android system settings, but some features may stop working.
7. Retention and Deletion
Files you export remain where you choose to save them. Temporary cache files, reading history, preview images, and generated working files may remain on your device until the app removes them, Android clears cache, you clear app data, or you uninstall the app.
8. Security
We use Android platform storage, file picker, and permission controls to limit access to local data. PDF passwords you enter are used to open protected documents for the requested operation. No app can guarantee absolute security. You should keep your device locked, avoid granting unnecessary permissions, and maintain separate backups for important documents.
9. Children's Privacy
Mango PDF is not intended for children under the age required by local law to use digital services without parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. International Use
Your device, operating system, store provider, or third-party services may process information according to their own terms and privacy policies. Please review those policies when using external actions.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
