1. Scope and Overview
Music Tunara uses third-party music catalogs and media services to provide album, playlist, and track discovery, streaming playback, favorites, playlists, recent listening, and search features.
This Privacy Policy applies to the Music Tunara mobile app and this product website. Core playback and discovery features do not require account registration. The information described here is limited to what is needed to run the app experience, load music content, save local preferences, and provide basic support.
In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the provider of Music Tunara, and “you” refers to users who visit the website or use the app.
2. Information We Process
The app may process music-related information such as track titles, artist names, album names, artwork, audio URLs, duration, playlist identifiers, album identifiers, search keywords, recommendation caches, and playback status.
If you use system sharing, App Store rating prompts, or device-level playback features, those actions are handled by Apple or your device operating system. We only call system-provided capabilities and do not ask for passwords, contacts, photo library access, precise location, or payment information for core app use.
3. Information Stored on Your Device
The app may store favorites, custom playlists, recent listening history, search history, recommendation caches, playback preferences, and temporary music metadata directly on your device.
This locally stored information is used to improve startup speed, remember your library actions, and maintain playback continuity between app sessions.
Most of this information remains on your device. Uninstalling the app, clearing app data, or deleting items inside the app may remove these local records and they may not be recoverable.
4. Music Data and Third-Party Services
When you browse home recommendations, search for tracks or albums, or start playback, the app sends requests to third-party music content services and related media delivery endpoints.
These requests may include search keywords, requested album or playlist identifiers, language or region information made available by the system, and technical network information required to return audio, artwork, and metadata.
Third-party music and media services may process network requests, access logs, device or browser information, IP addresses, and regional information under their own rules. Music Tunara does not independently control how those third-party services process data, and you should also review the terms and privacy rules of the relevant services.
5. How Information Is Used
Information is used to load music content, show artwork and metadata, present search results, generate recommendations, remember settings, and support playback controls.
We may also use local caches to reduce repeated network requests, improve startup speed, restore playback queues, show recently played content, and surface buffering or playback error states.
The app does not use your local playlist data or search history to sell advertising profiles inside the product, and we do not sell your local favorites, custom playlists, or search history to unrelated third parties.
6. Sharing and Disclosure
The app shares only the data necessary to retrieve music, artwork, and related playback resources from the external services that power the catalog experience.
Other than these service interactions and platform features such as App Store rating prompts or the system share sheet, the app does not intentionally disclose your local library activity to unrelated third parties.
We may disclose necessary information when required by law, regulation, legal process, or when reasonably needed to protect users, the public, product security, or legal rights.
7. Retention and Control
Search history can be cleared inside the search interface. Favorites, playlists, and other local preferences can be edited or removed within the app.
Cached recommendation data is refreshed periodically and may be replaced automatically to keep content current.
You may delete favorites, playlists, or search history in the app, or uninstall the app or clear app data through your device settings. For request information recorded by third-party music services, please use the controls provided by the applicable third-party service.
8. Security Measures
We aim to use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect local app data and information in transit, including the use of HTTPS where available for music catalog and media resource requests.
However, internet transmission, third-party services, and device environments cannot be guaranteed to be absolutely secure. Please protect your device, system accounts, and network environment, especially when using features that may reflect personal listening preferences.
9. Children and Regional Compliance
The app is not designed specifically for children. If local law requires guardian consent for digital services, use of the app should follow those legal requirements.
You are responsible for ensuring your use of streaming content, downloads, screenshots, and sharing actions complies with the laws and platform rules in your region.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy based on product features, third-party services, legal requirements, or operational needs. When updated, the new update date will appear on this page.
If a change materially affects your rights or data processing practices, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you through the website, in-app pages, or another appropriate method. Continued use of Music Tunara means you understand the updated policy.
11. Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, data processing practices, or local data controls in the app, contact us through the App Store product page, the app support entry, or by email at [email protected].
For your safety, do not submit passwords, payment information, government ID numbers, or other sensitive information through public reviews or insecure channels.
